Kazakhstan hopes to receive warranties of unrestricted coal supply to the Ukraine from Russia
Kazakhstan plans to settle with Russia the issue of unrestricted coal supply to the Ukraine in the summer, the head of the Association of mining and metallurgical enterprises, N. Radostovets, said.
“Coal is always in demand in winter. Usually those who buy coal, try to pay and buy when it is needed: in August-March. Within that period the Kazakh coal companies set obstacles for coal shipment to the Ukraine. It was connected with Russia first of all”, he said.
“In this connection the Ukrainian consumers say: we will take a time-out, we’ll look at the situation as it is a non-heating period now. It seems to us it is very important to settle the issues of coal supply from Kazakhstan and to Russia and the Ukraine unrestrictedly. Kazakhstan was and stays a large coal exporter”, N. Radostovets said.
