Severstal and Kamaz to go on cooperation

In the framework of another meeting of the coordination council, Severstal and Kamaz approved the “Program of development of car designs with the application of new types of metal rolled products” for 2016-2018.

In conformity with this document, Severstal will master the output of new types of rolled products with high strength characteristics for the production of Kamaz cars. In 2016 the metallurgical plant from Cherepovets will ship 50 thousand tons of metal products to Kamaz.

The parties also discussed an opportunity of increasing the quality of high-strength steel marks and perfection of packing for effective metal protection from the influence of external factors for the period of shipment. Particular attention was paid to the issue of import substitution: the perspectives on the replacement of foreign products have been determined.

In the current situation the close cooperation of Russian enterprises is of extreme importance.
