NLMK increased sort-rolled products output in Q1

NLMK decreased its production volumes in Q1 2015. In total in Q1, 3.87 mln tons of steel were made at the plants of NLMK, by 6% less than in Q4 2014. The demand fall and holding of planned repair works of converters at the Lipetsk plant has led to the fall of steel making by 9% to 3.09 mln tons. The production fall at the plant in Indiana was 42% against Q4 2014.
The steel production growth was reached in the segment of sort-rolled products. NLMK-Metiz, NLMK-Kaluga, NSSMZ in total produced 690 thousand tons of steel, by 25% more than in Q4 2014. The loading of the company’s capacities still stays at a high level -96%.
