Ukrainian coal extraction in January fell by almost twice

Coal extraction in the Ukraine (not taking into account the Crimea) in January fell by 49.7% against Jan 2014 – to 2.5 mln tons, the State Statistics Service for Industrial Production reports.

By December 2014 coal extraction fell by 0.04% only.

According to the Agency, natural gas extraction in Jan fell by 2.7% to 1.6 bln cubic m against Jan 2014 and by 3.2% against December 2014.

The output of gas condensate in January made up 54.4 thousand tons, by 14.4% less than in Jan 2014 and by 3.5% less against December 2014.

The volume of oil extraction in Jan made up 164 thousand tons, by 7.6% less than a year earlier and by 0.1% less than in December 2014.
