Severstal increased steel output by 2% in 2014 – Mordashov

CEO of Severstal, A. Mordashov, said at the meeting with V. Putin that in 2014 Severstal increased steel production by 2%.
In 2013 the Russian division of Severstal produced 10.712 mln tons of steel, thus in 2014 this rate might make up 10.926 mln tons.
On September 16th Severstal announced of the completion of the deal on the sale of the US plants Severstal Columbus and Dearborn which produced 4.979 mln tons of steel in 2013. Due to the completion of the deal the company fully stops to reflect the operational results of its American assets as well as introduces changes into the consolidated operational results for the previous periods.
