UC Rusal to continue to close enterprises and ponders about dividends
In December 2015, UC Rusal will decide on possible closure of facilities producing 200 thousand tons of aluminum, the general director of UC Rusal, Vladislav Soloviev told reporters.
"For a while, we have not made this decision, we are carefully looking at Kubal. We look at Kandalaksha too, and still wait for a decision on the electricity. In any case, we will make the decision with the business plan in December, and the closure process usually takes six months,"- he said.
Over the past two years, UC Rusal has reduced capacities for the production of metal for 800 thousand tons against the background of the collapse in prices for aluminum in terms of overproduction and weak demand.
