Kazahmys reforms its production management

Kazahmys continues to implement measures, aimed at the provision of efficiency and a decrease of administrative costs. The new structure of operations management will be introduced in the coming weeks; it implies a reduction of administrative and managerial staff. First and foremost, the changes will concern executive personnel of production associations Vostoktsvetmet and Karagandatsvetmet, whose management and engineering services that were in charge of industrial enterprises’ activity will be reduced. Mines, processing plants and other industrial enterprises will be directly managed by the Kazakhmys Corporation. This will reduce administrative costs in the form of salaries, travel and transportation costs, offices maintenance and rental.
