30% of mines of Makeevugol not functioning due to consequences of attacks

5.5 mines of Makeevugol GC are extracting coal. The artillery attacks have done harm to all the subdivisions. The construction shops, mechanic shops, electric supply substations were damaged.

The CEO Nichipor said: “There are 9 coal extraction subdivisions in the structure of Makeevugol. Today only 5.5 are functioning. 3 of them don’t hold extraction at all”. Only 2 out of the functioning mines were under artillery attacks – Kalinovskaya-Vostochnaya and Kholodnaya Balka.

The CEO said that the recovery works are problematic because the Ukraine has banned the supply of the necessary equipment and materials. It breaks the plans to increase coal extraction this year by 1 mln tons (to 2.7 mln tons). Mr. Nichipor said that the Ukraine tries to freeze the enterprise’s functioning.
