The construction of an underground mine has been carried out at the copper-pyrites orebody since 2011. The operator of the deposit “Bashkir Copper” thinks it will reach projected capacity (over 2 mln tons) by 2027.
The underground development of the deposit “Yubileynoye” and “Podolskoye” will enable the company to increase an annual production volume up to 4.5-5 million tons of ore.
“Bashkir Copper” is part of OJSC “Ural mining metallurgical company”, the Russian second largest copper producer.
