Shortage of quality coke coal in the Ukraine grows to 10.9 million tons

According to UEX’s research “Market of coke coal and coke: results and forecast for 2014”, by results of 2013, the production of coke coal in the Ukraine fell by 4.4% as compared with the previous year and made up about 23.7 million tons that is minimal rate in the history.

“We can’t stabilize the production and gradually move to stage of stable growth, - chief of the UEX’s research department Alexander Krainikov said. – Perspective of further increase in the production is directly connected with capabilities to attract financial funds to the sector for timely primary mining, upgrade of existing mines and construction of new ones”.
