Russia reduced gold production by 1.6% to 114.5 tons in H1

​In H1 2015 Russia produced 114.5 tons of gold extracted and produced as a result of byproduct and scrap production, including process of scrap metal and waste, as well as in concentrates – by about 1.6% less than in H1 2014.

Despite of a slight production and extraction fall in H1 in Russia, the forecast on extraction and production of gold in general for 2015 stays unchanged – 291 tons, the chairman of the Union of Gold Miners of Russia, S. Kashuba is sure.

Total silver production in Russia in H1 2015 stayed at the level of 2014 -832.29 tons (was 832.72 tons), including extracted silver – 308.5 tons (was 238.46 tons), accompanying -134.76 tons (145.98 tons), secondary – 94.23 tons (97.78 tons), in concentrates – 295.28 tons (350.08 tons).
