NLMK shipped 2 mln tons of steel slabs to VMZ in the framework of long-term contact

​The meeting of the council dedicated to the issues of development of cooperation between NLMK and OMK in the part of steel slabs supply produced by NLMK for the production of large diameter pipes at the Vyksa metallurgical plant was held.

Joint steps in providing the current and perspective Russian oil and gas companies with pipe products of OMK were considered. The parties discussed the status of realization of joint initiatives on the production efficiency rise and a further plan of works.

In total NLMK group shipped 2 mln tons of steel slabs to VMZ from August 2012 in the framework of the long-term contract. Steel blanks of NLMK are meant for the issue of broad flat steel at the mill MKS-5000 and further production of large diameter pipes at VMZ. MKS-5000 provides VMZ with flat steel with the width of up to 4.85.
