Mariupol metallurgical plant mastered production of a new type of hot rolled coiled stock

​The Mariupol metallurgical plant n.a. Ilyich of Metinvest group produced the first industrial lot of hot rolled coiled stock of S235JR  mark with the dimension of 3*1,500 mm in full conformity with the requirements of the European standard EN 10025-2. Previously such coils were not produced in the Ukraine.

The output of products was held without the attraction of the additional investment, by means of the adjustment of the existing equipment of the mill-1700. The capacity of the plant allows to produce coiled stock by the European standards or with double certification.

The products are used for construction, wagon manufacturing, production of pipes of general purpose and are meant for the sale in the domestic market and overseas. Today the major part of such products is exported from Russia.
