Project on increase of copper cathode production to be implemented in Balkhasha

"In 2012, plant to produce copper cathodes with capacity of 10 thousand tons per year was launched in Balkhasha. And this year we start a project to expand the production capacity of our plant to 15 thousand tons per year. The cost of the project is 1.9 billion tenges. The implementation period is 2013-2015. In 2013, the project documentation was developed, in 2014 the construction began. The achievement of the designated capacity is planned in 2016," - said general director of copper company Kounrad, O. Telnoy at the meeting of the Coordinating Council on the implementation of the state program of industrialization in the regional administration.
