The Court to hear the appeal of “Mechel” at the suit of VTB

According to previously  taken decision, there has been collected about 50.2 billion roubles from “Mechel” under the credit agreement with VTB.  The 9th Arbitration Appeal Court will consider an appeal of the metallurgical company “Mechel” from a lower court decision, which collected 50.2 billion roubles of debt under the credit agreement with VTB, dated December 27th, 2010.

Besides OJSC “Mechel”, such companies as “Mechel-trans”, “Mechel-service” LLC involved in the case as the third parties, as well as other subsidiaries,the Chelyabinsk Iron-and-Steel works, Bratsk ferroalloy plant, non participating in the case, have appealed from a judgment (Arbitration court of Moscow).
