In January 2016, Russia reduced the steel production as compared with January 2015 by 10.6% to 5.5 million tons. This was reported by the Russian Statistics Committee on Monday.
The production of finished steel in Russia decreased by 12.6% to 4.7 million tons, iron production - by 0.8% to 4.4 million tons, pipes - by 10.6% to 803 thousand tons.
