Rusal expects a 5% demand growth for aluminium in Russia in a year

UC Rusal hopes to increase the sale of aluminium products in Russia in 2016 to 800 thousand tons, the CEO V. Soloviev said.
The company hopes that in future the domestic growth of demand for aluminium will meet the world demand – 5.6% a year. Currently aluminium consumption in Russia fell by 11-25% in various sectors, he said.
I hope the consumption will rise by 5% against 2015 and our sales of 750-760 thousand tons would grow to 800 thousand tons and more. Even in 2011 we expected 1 mln tons but it is difficult, V. Soloviev said.
