Severstal – Sort-rolling plant Balakovo reaches its projected capacity

Within a week Severstal – Sort-rolling plant Balakovo (in the division of Severstal Russia Steel) has set a few production records on steel making.
At the sort mini-plant in Balakovo complex hot tests go on in the process of which the plant reaches the project capacity.
On October 10th the employees of the electric steel making shop of the sort-rolling plant held 21 meltings a day (2.650 thousand tons of cast sections) – a result close to the project. “We managed to reach the productivity of the shaft-furnace the melting cycle of 55 minutes. Our goal now is to fix these results, keep working not only on quantity but quality”, the head of the electric steel making shop of Severstal – Sort-rolling plant Balakovo, P. Sokolov said.
