VSMPO-Avisma is about to start titanic iron ore production in Tambov region in 2016

OJSC “VSMPO-Avisma Corporation” is about to start titanic iron ore-rutile-zirconia sand production at the northern part of the eastern site of the deposit “Centralnoye” (Tambov region) in 2016 for further titanium sponge production, is stated in the materials of the company.
The corporation got the licence for $50.1 million in July 2011. At present the group is about to extend the licence for the right to use the deposit. VSMPO-Avisma plans to produce and process 11.4 million tons of titanium-zirconia sand a year until 2059,it is said in the document.
