Severstal convenes urgent extraordinary meeting of shareholders
The Board of Directors of one of the largest vertically integrated steel and mining companies in the world Severstal has decided to convene an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders in the form of absentee voting September 10th, 2014. Severstal reported this on Monday.
"The agenda of the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders will be approved by the Board later in July, after which it will be published too," the company said.
Let’s recall that according to foreign mass media Severstal is interested in selling its North American assets and possibly negotiates about its two steel plants in the United States. According to the Bloomberg, American US Steel Corp. and Brazil's Companhia Siderurgica Nacional are interested in the Russian assets in Michigan and Mississippi.
