Metalloinvest does not search for partners for Udokan

Metalloinvest does not hold negotiations on the attraction of partners for the development of Udokan, the largest undeveloped copper deposit in Russia, CEO of Metalloinvest A.Varichev said. “We carry out project works, not negotiations,” he said, answering the question of ITAR-TASS on the possible attraction of partners into the project on the development of Udokan.

There appeared information in early 2013 that the shareholders of Norilsk Nickel discussed an increase of the share of Metalloinvest in GMK in exchange for Udokan. However, later Norilsk Nickel announced its new development strategy, where it focused on a development of its current assets.
