Volga Pipe Plant (in the structure of TMK) has produced the 15-millionth ton of steel.
26 years ago the electric steel making shop produced the 1st ton of steel. All this period the electric steel making shop has been meeting the need of production of seamless pipes of the Volga Pipe Plant and other plants of the company.
A large-scale technical retooling of the shop was followed by a stable result. In the framework of the investment program in the past decade TMK modernized the CC machines -1, 3 at the electric steel making shop, reconstructed the main parts of the arc steel making furnace, a new system of gas cleaning was installed. The production capacity of the electric steel making shop makes up 900 thousand tons of steel a year.
