Alrosa studies variants of modernization of its river fleet

​“FBK” has started to assess the efficiency and technical-economic effectiveness of the variants of modernization of Alrosa’s river fleet.

According to the head of managerial consulting of FBK, A. Rekshinsky, new norms regulating the operation of river vessels can influence on the abilities of Alrosa on cargo delivery during the summer navigation period, in particular, on the delivery of light oil products (gasoline and diesel fuel).

“We were invited to assess which of the existing variants of cargo shipment, by the efforts of Alrosa and other companies, are the most effective and will provide the necessary volumes of delivery”, Mr. Rekshinsky said.

The successfulness of Alrosa in the basin of the Lena river mostly depends on what variant of transport logistics is chosen, in particular, if “Alrosa-Lena” will be able to optimize its activity and hold the reconstruction of vessels.
