In August, 1.79 tons of placer gold produced in Chukotka

In January-August of 2013, gold producers that work at deposits of the Chukotka Autonomous District increased the gold production by 12% as compared with the same period of 2012. In the first eight months of this year the total production of gold at Chukotka’s deposits made up 13 668 kg, the regional Department of Industrial Policy, Construction and Housing and Public Utilities reports.
