UC Rusal makes quarterly profit for the first time over the past three years

In the third quarter of 2014, the adjusted net profit of UC Rusal made up $25 million, which is a positive result for the first time since the fourth quarter of 2011, the official press release of the metallurgical company reports. For comparison, in the July-September 2013, the UC Rusal’s loss reached $234 million.
In the third quarter of this year, the adjusted EBITDA increase more than two times as compared with the previous quarter to $470 million. In April-June 2014, this figure was $220 million. In the third quarter, the proceeds of UC Rusal grew by 9.6% as compared with the previous quarter and reached nearly $2.5 billion.
