Rusgeology analyzes now the issue of coal production restarting. The deposit is located in the Leningrad, Novgorod, Tver, Smolensk, Moscow, Kaluga, Tula and Ryazan regions. Its production development began in 1920s. Since 1960s, its development gradually ceased due to supplies to the central regions of natural gas and fuel oil. They suggested to restart production the representatives of Rusgeology and the Tula region. The region concentrates 40% of the basin, i.e. 3 billion tons of coal.
