Import of stainless metal increases, and export grows

According to the expert review of the association Spetsstal, in June of 2013 Russian import of the main types of stainless metal products increased by 4.5% as compared with May and made up 18,727 tons.
In the first six months of 2013, the Russian import of the main types of stainless metal products increased by 8.38% and made up 115, 741 tons. The main growth was provided due to the increase of flat products by 15.6%, electric-welded pipes by 8.1% and primary billets by 47.5%. At the same time, the import of bar sections fell by 8.1%, wire by 30.6% and seamless pipes by 21.7%.
