Evraz KGOK to increase the capacity of Severny mine

The realization of the project of development of the Severny mine goes on at Evraz KGOK. A new railroad haul has been put into operation at the mine so as to ship ore to the processing plants.

Over 1 km of railways have been constructed at the mine, 6 ore stocks have been put into operation. Previously 18 high-efficiency 130-ton BelAZ machines, wheel bulldozers and other equipment were engaged in the production at the mine.

The turn of the Severny mine to the combined scheme of ore shipment will allow to increase its capacity to 30 mln tons a year. the new equipment will give an opportunity to reduce the expenditure for rock shipment from the low layers of the mine and increase the annual productivity of excavators.

The company holds works on the retooling of the Kachkanarsky GOK. Within 3 years Evraz spent over 9 bln roubles for providing a stable production activity at Evraz KGOK.
