MMK restarts blast furnace №8 after re-equipping.

Eighth blast furnace at Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Plant had started production of cast iron after modernization, the Office of Information and Public Relations of OJSC "MMK" reported adding that currently blast furnace №8 of the plant is gradually achieving the operating parameters.
MMK spent about 2 billion roubles on technical re-equipment of the furnace. The modernization, launched at the beginning of December 2014, was made ahead of schedule. About 25 contractors and 7 units of the plant were involved in the repair.
