JSC "Russian platinum" was going to accelerate the start of operation at Norilsk-1 for five years, combining it with the development of the Montenegrin mine (both are on Taimyr, Krasnoyarsk region) into a single project, the company told Prime.
The company offers run Mining and Metallurgical Combine (MMC) on the Montenegrin deposit at the first stage in 2018, in 2019 connect the rich ore deposits on the southern part of Norilsk-1 to the processing plant. Production of platinum group metals (PGMs) may reach 5 m in 2019. The cost of the first phase of the project exceeds $ 4 billion, the agency informs.
