Nordgold won the Zhanokskaya ore area in Buryatia

Buryatzoloto, the enterprise of the company Nordgold of Alexei Mordashov, won the auction for the right o the subsoil use for geological study, exploration and mining of lode gold at the Zhanokskaya area in the republic of Buryatia for 11 million rubles, the Buryatia Department on Subsoil Usage reported to the agency Prime.
The Zhanokskaya area is located in the Muisky district of Buryatia and in the west it borders on the acting licensed sites of Buryatzoloto. As of January the 1st of 2012, the predicted resources of the Zhanokskaya area of P2 category were 20 tons of gold, and P3 category – 40 tons.
