Kazakhstan has stopped precious metal scrap exports for 6 months

The Government of Kazakhstan has stopped for 6 months the exports of unprocessed precious metal, scrap and waste, and raw material goods containing precious metals. According to the appendix to the order, the abolishment is true for gold, including gold with galvanized platinum coverings, both unprocessed or semi-processed or in powder, non-monetary (powder) and in other unprocessed forms, with exception for gold in granules, both unprocessed and refined, with purity of 0.995 per 1000 shares of ligature mass that is equal to 995 purity, 995 per mille, 99.5% or 23.88 carats. The abolishment is also true for waste and scrap of precious metals or metals coated with precious metals, other waste and scrap containing precious metal or its compounds used mostly for precious metals extraction, gold including metal coated with gold and not including waste containing other precious metals.
