Donetsk metallurgical plant starts the second blast furnace, Alchevsky plant – the third furnace

The growth of demand in the world market allows the metallurgical plants in Donbass to increase steel production.
In early May 2016 the Donetsk metallurgical plant launched the blast furnace #1.
We have started the 2nd blast furnace but the process is difficult due to the instability of raw materials supply. Any time it can be stopped. Until now the enterprise worked with only blast furnace #2 for almost full capacity.
From May it was planned to launch the third blast furnace at the Alchevsky metallurgical plant but it hasn’t happened. Until the end of the month the blast furnace might be started.
The launch of the additional capacities at the metallurgical enterprises is connected with the growth of steel prices in the global markets.
