Severstal has launched equipment for pipe production for South Stream

Izhora Pipe Plant (ITZ), specializing in large diameter pipes production from strips made by the Cherepovets metallurgic combine has completed the starting and assembly work for the finishing press. The new equipment is meant for the production of pipes with a small diameter and large wall thickness for the offshore part of the South Stream gas pipeline belonging to Gazprom, for which ITZ is going to supply its products.
