RMK to keep development of Alexandrinskoye deposit

Alexandrinskoye deposit (operated by Alexandrinskoye ore-mining company, part of Russian Copper Company) will be developed in 2016 despite the planned termination of operation. Geological survey enabled discovery of fresh ore resources with good content of copper.
There has functioned a quarry at the Alexandrinskoye deposit since 1997. It developed copper-zinc ore of the ore body No1. The reserves for open-pit mining depleted in 2008, when the depth of the quarry reached 140 meters below the surface (surface level makes up appr.420 meters above sea level).
