In January – September, SUEK increased coal exports by 9% to 33.8 million tons. Its own coal exports increased by 7% to 30.3 million tons. The majority importers were Great Britain, China, South Korea, Japan, the Netherlands, Taiwan and Germany.
Production remained at 68.6 million tons.
The company reduced internal sales by 9.7% to 3.4 million tons. The Russian consumers bought 31.7 million tons of coal including 24.9 million tons dispatched to the electric energy enterprises.
SUEK states that reduction in the internal sales happened mostly in H1 2014 in connection with the fall in demand presupposed by warm winter, super-normative coal reserves at the storehouses of the electric plant and large electric energy production by the hydroelectric stations.
Total sales reduced by 1% to 65.6 million tons in January – September.
