The Ukraine intends to purchase additional shipment of coal from South Africa

In the near future the Ukraine plans to purchase the additional coal volumes from South African Republic, the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry, V. Demchishin, said.

Kiev plans to purchase coal from all possible producers, including from South Africa, the USA and Russia. Last week the Ukraine received a new shipment of coal from South Africa in the volume of 800 thousand tons.

The Ukraine agreed with Steel Mont Trading (UK) on the supply of 1 mln tons of coal from South African Republic. After that the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Ukraine initiated a case on the waste of money due to a high price of this fuel. Worried by its image, the trader decided to ship 500 thousand tons.
