Scientists of the Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) have started the second stage of works on creation of beryllium production technology and work out technological modes for the further large-scale production of this strategically important metal at the Siberian chemical combine (SChC) of Rosatom, the press center of the university reports on Monday.
Earlier it was reported that in late 2014 TPU and SChC received the first Russian sample of beryllium. This is a rare metal with a set of physical and mechanical properties suitable for a wide range of applications.
