Kuzbass might extract up to 3.5 tons of gold in 5-7 years

​The subsoil users of Kuzbass will extract 1,200-1,500 kg of golf this year, in 2016 they might extract up to 2 tons, in another 5-7 years – up to 3.5 tons and the region will enter the top-10-12 gold extraction regions of Russia, deputy head of the department for subsoil use in the Siberia federal district – head of the geology and licensing department in the Kemerovo region, A. Today the volume of gold extraction in Kuzbass in not that large though the region is the 15th. There are 2 strategically important mineral resources extracted in the Kemerovo region – coal and gold.

Starting with 2007 Kuzbass raises on average about a ton of precious metal a year. 16 enterprises were licensed. The distributed fund and number of issued licenses for gold extraction in the Kemerovo region is rising. This is mainly placer gold, but one should start with them. There are all grounds in the region to make the gold extraction a real point for growth, Mr. Germakhanov said.
