In January – April, Russia reduced ferrous metals exports by 7.8% to 11.9 million tons valued at $6.6 billion

In January – April, Russia declined ferrous metals exports by 7.8% to 11.934 million tons for $6.6 billion, the Federal Customs Service reports. The decline has happened in connection with re-orientation of the majority producers to the internal market. In price equivalent, exports fell by 14.6% to $6.584 billion. Exports declined by 12.2% to $10.05 million tons for $5.3 billion to far abroad, and by 26% to 1.884 million tons for $1.283 billion to the CIS.
