NLMK implements innovative technologies

Novolipetsk metallurgical works (part of NLMK Group) has completed guarantee test and started production run of eight new stands of bell-type furnaces of mill products.

Bell-type furnaces are used for heat treatment of low-carbon steel after cold-rolling. New equipment operates under high-convection hydrogen annealing technology, when the productivity of the furnaces increase and energy resources consumption decrease compared to low-convection nitrogen annealing.
