Criminal case initiated in respect of Chitaugol

​The Ministry of Domestic Affairs has suspected the management of Chitaugol of illegal coal extraction and making 6.5 bln roubles on that.

As a result of unauthorized subsoil use the company made a profit exceeding 6.5 bln roubles, representatives of the Ministry of Domestic Affairs said.

A criminal case was initiated. The offices, houses and a Moscow office have been searched through.

Previously the Ministry of Natural Resources asked to check Chitaugol which, according to the agency, has been illegally using the subsoil of the Tataurovsky deposit for 10 years, and thus has made a loss of 7.7 bln roubles to the Government.
