Ministry of Natural Resources has accused Chitaugol of doing harm to the Govt of 7.7 bln roubles to Russia

Chitaugol Ltd. (in the structure of SUEK OJSC) has done harm to the Government at the volume of 7.7 bln roubles as a result of unauthorized subsoil use beyond the borders of the license site of the Tataurovsky coal deposit (Trans-Baikal region), the Ministry of Natural Resources reported.

The Ministry of Natural Resources has come to this conclusion as a result of the audit held by Rosprirodnadzor in the Trans-Baikal region on the basis of requirements of the Chita nature reserving Prosecutor’s Office.

“From 2002 the company has been developing on the unauthorized basis the Tataurovsky coal deposit beyond the borders of the license site”, is reported. The Ministry of Natural Resources faces such a case for the first time: the subsoil user illegally has been working at the subsoil for more than a decade.
