Russian Steel: Russian Railways’ arguments on need to increase tariffs sound unconvincingly

Steel lobby of Russia - non-profit partnership Russian Steel – has commented on results of the round table, dedicated to the additional (besides the annual indexation) increase of Russian Railways’ tariffs for export railway transportation.

The decision on the increase in railway tariffs was adopted by the Russian Railways’ Management Board at the end of December last year under the so-called "Tariff corridor".

"Russian Railways, as well as at the January meeting of the round table, failed to provide convincing arguments in favor of simultaneous front increase of the tariffs for all export shipments," - noted Russian Steel.
