Export of steel semi-finished goods fell by a third

In Q1 2015 the Ukraine reduced the export of semi-finished goods out of carbon steel in natural terms by 33.7% against Q1 2014 to 1 mln 830.141 thousand tons.
According to the Customs Statistics, in Q1 2015 the export of semi-finished goods out of carbon steel in monetary terms fell by 46.7% to $703.7 mln.
The main volumes were exported to Egypt (24.09% in monetary terms), Turkey (23.9%) and Italy (18.66%).
In Q1 2015 the Ukraine imported 2.398 thousand tons of this product, by 69.2% less against Q1 2014. In monetary terms the import fell by 79.9% to $915 thousand.
The import supplies were mostly held from Russia (90.93%).
