NLMK displays new premium products on the Russian market.

The NLMK Group enters the Russian market with a new kind of premium steel products - a thick sheet of low alloy wear-resistant Quard mark steel and high structural Quend steel, which is intended for use in the manufacture of construction and mining equipment and machines.

Currently the NLMK Group holds the talks with several major Russian engineering companies on the implementation of the technology using the steel sheets of the Quard and Quend brands in the production of construction and mining equipment. The transfer to Quard and Quend will allow Russian machine builders and OEMs to reduce the weight of components and significantly improve the operational and environmental performance of their products without a loss of strength characteristics, and to compete on a par with the best foreign analogues, used in the production of wear-resistant and high-strength steel.
