Severstal supports import substitution potential

​Severstal increased the volumes of purchase from the enterprises of the Vologda region in the framework of the import substitution program at the Cherepovets metallurgical plant.

The growth of import substitution positions is due to the strategic approach in the work with the suppliers from Vologda. Severstal signed 11 long-term agreements with them. One of them is Autospetsmash Ltd. in total in 2016 Severstal will purchase products for over 250 mln roubles and the stake of the purchase will make up 60% in the total volume of production of the supplier.

In the past years Autospetsmash increased the number of products demanded by Severstal by a few times. The most important of them are the supplies for the steel making production of the Cherepovets metallurgical plant.

The signed contract presupposes the price making by formula with fixed prices, stabilization and increase of quality of products as well as the foundation of the consignation storehouse on the basis of Autospetsmash.
