KrAZ switches to eco-friendly technology to produce aluminium

The Krasnoyarsk Aluminium Smelter of RUSAL switches to more advanced technology of aluminum production “Ecological Soderberg”. A third part of electrolyzers at KrAZ operate using this technology.

Since the beginning of the year there has been installed 148 electrolyzers “Ecological Soderberg”. They plan to transfer another 218 electrolyte pots to the new technology until the end of the year.
