D. Firtash’s plant increases sponge titanium production

​The Zaporozhie titanium-magnesium plant (in the structure of Group DF) in Q1 2015 increased the production of sponge titanium by 49.6% (from 1,523.8 to 2,279.9 tons) and reduced the production of saleable titanium slag by 36.5% (from 2,500 to 1,588 tons).

The plant increases the production volumes of core products – sponge titanium. In Q1 the plant managed not only to produce sponge but sell it. In natural terms the growth of shipmen made up +76.4% - the sales volume rose from 1,209.6 to 2,133.4 tons. We fully meet the production plan, head of the Zaporozhie titanium-magnesium plant Ltd, V. Sivak, said.

Meanwhile the reduction of titanium slag production volumes was planned as in Q1 the capital repair of one out of 3 electric ore smelting furnaces in which slag making is held.
