Metals of Eastern Siberia Corporation Ltd., Kazatomprom and Neftekhimmash (owns Transbaical GOK) have signed an agreement on the joint production of metallic beryllium on the basis of their assets in Russia and Kazakhstan.
Ore production will be carried out at the Ermakovskoye deposit (Buryatia). MBC Corporation has the license for its development. The ore will be processed into concentrate at the Transbaikal GOK. The concentrate will be delivered (tolling) to the Ulbinsky Iron-and-Steel works (part of Kazatomprom) for the production of metallic beryllium.
